I am a forest – naturalist watercolor

The title derives from a phrase taken from “Così parlò Zarathustra” by Friedrich Nietzsche.

“I am a forest and a night of dark trees:

but he who is not afraid of my darkness,

will find banks full of roses under my cypresses. ”

The painting represents a forest in autumn when the colors of the leaves explode in warm and full-bodied colors that precede the decadence and decomposition of winter.
